December League Meeting
The League will be holding its quarterly meeting on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 from 6:00PM - 8:00PM. The meeting will be conducted over the ICN. Information about the 16 ICN sites have been distributed to League members. We will be choosing our legislative priorities for the year. If you have bills or items that you would like to League to consider, please send them to crystal.schrader@iowa.gov by noon on November 30.
October 1, 2009 League Meeting
We held our quarterly League meeting at Prairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino in Altoona on October 1, 2009 from 2:00 - 3:30, following a commissioner training sponsored by the Des Moines Human Rights Commission. Congratulations to our new officers: Karl Cassell (Cedar Rapids Civil Rights Commission), President; Ralph Rosenberg (Iowa Civil Rights Commission), Vice President; Kelly Larson (Dubuque Human Rights Commission), Secretary; and Tamra Madsen (Council Bluffs Civil Rights Commission), Treasurer. We thank outgoing officers Rudy Simms and Michelle Olmstead for their service.
